Calendar Colors – Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026
What the extension does
Calendar Colors is a Chrome extension that applies custom colors to events and tasks on calendar.google.com in your browser.
Data the extension accesses
On calendar.google.com pages only, the extension reads the event and task elements shown on screen: their titles and identifiers. It uses them solely to decide which color to display. This happens entirely inside your browser.
Data the extension stores
Your color choices, keyword rules and settings are stored with Chrome's storage API (chrome.storage.sync). If Chrome sync is enabled, Google syncs this data between browsers signed in to your Chrome profile. The stored data contains event identifiers, colors and the keywords you type into rules. It does not contain event titles, descriptions, guests or times.
Data the extension shares
None. The extension has no servers, runs no analytics, sends no data to the developer or any third party, and loads no remote code.
Your control
You can export your settings from the extension popup. Removing the extension deletes its local data. Data synced by Chrome is managed through your Chrome sync settings.
